Workshop for Dean Spouses and Partners—Thursday, December 5, from 10:00 am to 11:30 am: Join dean spouses/partners for a panel discussion on what it means to be a spouse/partner of a graduate dean! Complimentary.

 

La Jolla Village Excursion—Friday, December 6, from 10:00 am to 2:00 pm: Depart by bus from the hotel lobby for the 30 minute narrated tour and ride to beautiful La Jolla. Spanish for “The Jewel,” La Jolla is a world-class destination for celebrities and tourists alike.

 

Once in La Jolla, a walk to La Jolla Cove provides a breathtaking view of what is often cited as the most photographed beach in San Diego. Time can also be spent enjoying a self‐guided shopping tour in this picturesque seaside hamlet. Art galleries, quaint boutiques, and sidewalk cafes abound in the beautiful seaside setting. Attendees will be provided insider tips on where to explore as well as informative maps of the area. The bus will depart La Jolla at 1:30 for the ride back to the Hotel Del. Lunch is on your own. Preregistration suggested as space is limited. Ticket price: $50.
