Over the last decade, many U.S. universities have developed or enhanced research integrity programs for graduate students. CGS has supported this growth through a series of initiatives, funded by the National Science Foundation (NSF) and the Office of Research Integrity (ORI), that involved collaborations with a total of 67 member institutions (awardees and affiliates). Growth of these programs has also been catalyzed by recent requirements issued by NSF and the National Institutes of Health (NIH).
The 2012 Professional Science Master’s Enrollment and Degrees Survey revealed continued growth in applications, enrollments, and degrees, a promising sign for this innovative approach to graduate education. The survey generated 279 responses from 114 PSM programs, a 93% response rate.
