Washington, DC — Debra W. Stewart, President of the Council of Graduate Schools (CGS), today announced that Patricia (Patty) McAllister, a long-valued member of CGS’s senior leadership team, has stepped down as CGS’s chief officer for Government Relations and External Affairs.
In making the announcement, Dr. Stewart praised Ms. McAllister for eight years of outstanding leadership at the Council. “Patty McAllister has been an extraordinary contributor to the development and advancement of public policy in the graduate education domain. The strong relationships that Patty has built with policy makers, CGS member institutions, and the higher education community in Washington, DC, will be a great asset to CGS as we continue our work to advance graduate education and research.”
Today CGS officially launched a search for a new Director of Government Relations and External Affairs and is currently seeking both applications and nominations.
