CGS is the leading authoritative source on information, data analysis, and trends in graduate education. CGS conducts an annual national Survey of Graduate Enrollment and Degrees in partnership with the Educational Testing Service (ETS). Results of each year's survey become part of a longitudinal database on graduate enrollment and degrees and are made available to members through an annual publication as well as in presentations at national and regional meetings. In addition, CGS conducts an annual three-part national survey on application, acceptance and enrollment trends for international students studying in the U.S. CGS's data on this subject have garnered national attention.
CGS also conducts secondary research using national education, demographic, and workforce databases.
The research CGS conducts contributes to the authorship of policy papers on issues central to the advancement of graduate education in the U.S. and world wide.
